Cookie & Storage Policy

1. No tracking or advertising cookies

Statement Insights does not use advertising cookies, cross-site trackers, fingerprinting or third-party analytics that profile you. We do not sell or share data for advertising.

2. What is stored on your device

The app uses your browser's local storage (similar to cookies, but never sent with web requests) to remember choices you make: budgets and budget modes, recurring-payment edits, category rules, goals, net-worth entries, appearance, text size, the welcome-tour status, app-lock settings and any privacy-policy edits.

Your statements and transactions are never stored. They exist only while the app is open and are cleared when you reload or leave.

3. Essential storage

If you sign in with Google, a secure sign-in session is stored so you stay signed in. If you install the app, an offline cache keeps the app's own files (not your data) so it opens without internet. These are needed for the features you ask for.

4. Your control

Open Privacy policy → Data saved on this device to see each saved item, its size, and clear any of them or everything at once. You can also clear site data in your browser or uninstall the app.
